Meet Valerie Francis! Valerie is our 2018 Summer Graphic Design Intern.
Valerie was born & raised in Versailles, Ohio and graduated from Versailles Local High School. She is heading into her senior year at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana – majoring in Visual Communications and minoring in Marketing.
Valerie is involved in the following clubs and activities at Ball State:
- Active member of the St. Francis Newman Center
- Active member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (Indianapolis Chapter)
- Active member and advocate for the Ball State University Dance Marathon
Valerie tells us her favorite thing about graphic design is that “the possibilities are endless. There is always room to explore different avenues and apply creativity in different ways.”
Prior to interning with Brand It, Valerie worked for VPP Industries in bindery, learning all of the ‘behind the scenes” work of graphic design. When she is at Ball State University for school, she works in the office of Recreation Services as a graphic designer for the university. She is also on the Marketing and Communications committee for the Dance Marathon, where she helps with some of the design pieces for the University’s Dance Marathon event. Valerie is expected to graduate from Ball State University in May of 2019.
Valerie tells us she is excited to learn as much as she can from the team at Brand It, as well as learn more on how to design for a wide variety of clients.
