I am Thankful for Dirt.
As you may have noticed in our social media postings, Brand It Marketing Communications offices have been under very dirty and inconvenient working conditions the entire month of November. That really wasn’t the plan but trying to be optimistic about the remodel we move forward.
The first few weeks were miserable—and I mean awful. The floors in our two main offices downstairs were removed. Yes, we were down to the dirt. One area was totally gutted, we’re talking studs, dirt, old insulation and RAIN. With a crew of 10+ working in these conditions in our small farmhouse the walls, doorways and everything in the office were touched by mud and dust. Frankly, I was ready for the project to start, but now I’m so ready for the project to be done.
So, what am I doing about it? I’m choosing to be thankful. Thankful for a good team that works hard from their home offices. Thankful we’ve turned the corner and the cleaning and painting are happening. Thankful that our office space will be finished by—nope, I’m not going to go there, thankful that I know it will get finished. The one thing I do know is we’ll be happy to share when that happens on our social media channels. And, yes, I’m thankful for the dirt.
It means we are moving forward, we’re growing and that is a blessing.
Happy Thanksgiving!
