Reflecting on the Year 2020

Looking back, the year 2020 started with excitement and growth as we added some new faces to our team. Our team has grown to 9 creative minds, but we can promise you… we aren’t stopping there. 2020 not only forced us apart – relying on Zoom calls and emailing for communication and project updates – but it also forced us to think outside the box, try new things and be willing to adjust on the fly. We’re marketers – it’s what we do.

As we reflect on the craziness this past year has brought us all, our team feels very humbled to have served all the clients we did in 2020 and look forward to adding new clients in the coming year. Let’s look back on some office favorites from 2020 and how we can look ahead to a bright future.

Our Favorite Project from 2020

We can speak for our entire office when we say the year 2020 brought us an opportunity for some extra fun creativity. While in-person gatherings and socializing may have been cancelled, celebrating was not.

One of our favorite projects this past year gave us the opportunity to help a client of ours connect and bring extra joy to their own clients – which felt like quite the blessing given the circumstances. The project noted below was designed and created for Advanced Biological Marketing.

Advanced Biological Marketing (ABM) is a company founded by farmers – for farmers, and is headquartered in Van Wert, Ohio. They are dedicated to researching and developing the worlds most advanced agricultural solutions in enhancing plant growth and productivity. Through their full line-up of biologicals, they offer growers sustainable solutions – worldwide.

20 Years – That’s Something Worth Celebrating

This past year, ABM celebrated their 20th anniversary of being in business. From the start, CEO and Co-Founder, Dan Custis, had an intent to market products for other agriculture organizations. Between 2002-2003 in a small two-car garage, his dream took off and ABM began creating their own line of farmer-applied biologicals.

Due to COVID regulations, ABM couldn’t celebrate in true ABM fashion, so we had to help them improvise. Our team developed a unique and exciting concept filled with all things fun and relevant to help celebrate this milestone anniversary.

Say hello to ABM’s “Party in a Box.” – filled with all things ABM. From a branded hat and confetti poppers to peanuts from Georgia using ABM’s America’s Best Inoculant for Peanuts – each item included a handwritten message from Dan Custis and had significant and heartfelt meaning, aiding in the celebrating of 20 years.

This project was submitted for an award to National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) and came out of the competition as a regional winner.

Twyla’s Perspective on 2020

While the past year was overwhelming – each and every day bringing about a new set of challenges and hardships to overcome – our team, clients, family and friends persevered and powered through. We did it. Speaking on behalf of our team, we kept pushing forward and doing what we do best – serving our clients.

With a whirlwind of a year, our marketing tip to you is – stay on top of your digital marketing strategy. When the shutdown hit America, business-owners were forced to connect with customers – from a distance. Many were in a panic, asking for help and needing ways to communicate valuable information to their customers. Our best advice is to sit down and lay out your digital marketing strategy; if you don’t know how, we’re here to help!

Looking into 2021

With every challenge comes a solution, and with every hardship comes a learning opportunity; here at Brand It, we’re doing just that. We are a team of innovative designers, thinkers and creative strategists who are focused on growing your business.
